1. The New York Mets fired manager Carlos Beltran in light of MLB’s investigation of the Houston Astros’ sign stealing scandal. Beltran played on the Astros 2017 World Series winning team.

2. Baylor hired LSU DC Dave Aranda as its new head football coach.

3. The New Orleans Police has issued an arrest warrant for Odell Beckham Jr. on a complaint of simple battery that took place in the LSU locker room after the Tigers National Championship victory over Clemson Monday night.

4. The Lakers have the best record in the West at 33-8.

5. Andrew Bongo (cool name) is averaging 14.1 points per game for Charter Oak.

6. Los Altos has an overall record of 16-3 and is in first place in the Hacienda League at 3-0.

7. Cary Harris has resigned as the head football coach at Glendale to take over as HC at Calabasas.

8. Covina leads the Valle Vista League with a 3-0 record and is 12-9 overall.

9. After a 74-59 loss to Stanford at Pauley Pavilion Wednesday night, UCLA is 8-9 overall and 1-3 in the Pac 12.

10. The Dodgers signed left-hander Alex Wood to a one-year, $4 million deal.
