1. The Lakers-Clippers game Tuesday night was canceled as the teams and the NBA continue to mourn the passing of icon Kobe Bryant.

2. The Houston Astros have honed in on Dusty Baker as their new manager. A deal has not yet been finalized.

3. AP College Basketball Top 5: 1. Baylor 2. Gonzaga 3. Kansas 4. San Diego State 5. Florida State.

4. San Diego State is now 21-0.

5. The Houston Texans have given head coach Bill O’Brien the general manager title as well.

6. In NBA games across the country the last three days teams have taken a 24 second violation and an 8 second violation to start the game in honor of Kobe Bryant.

7. The Lakers next game is Friday night at Staples Center against the Portland Trail Blazers.

8. On this date in 1988 The Dodgers signed free agent Kirk Gibson to a three-year contract.

9. Former Dodgers second baseman Steve Sax turns 59 today.
