1. Former San Gabriel HC/long time area assistant Jude Oliva has been named the OC at Orange High School.

2. Former TCU/Seattle Seahawks quarterback Trevone Boykin was sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to charges from the 2018 beating of his girlfriend.

3. SoFi Stadium in Inglewood will host a post season bowl game this December. The LA Bowl will pit the #1 team in the Mountain West Conference against the #5 team in the Pac 12.

4. The New York Giants released linebacker Alec Ogletree, a team captain during his two seasons with the team.

6. Fresno State offensive guard Netane Muti, one of the NFL draft’s top run blockers, says he ate a 10×10 at In-N-Out Burger: 10 beef patties, 10 slices of cheese.

7. The NBA fined the Minnesota Timberwolves $25,000 for resting D’Angelo Russell Sunday against the Denver Nuggets. This is the first time the league enforced the player resting policy that was originally put in place in 2017 to cut down on load management.

8. The Dodgers are 4-1 in the Cactus League after a 6-5 win over the Cleveland Indians Thursday.
