I wish Tommy Lasorda the best.

Congratulations to Kim Ng; I hope she can build on the success the Marlins experienced in making a surprise playoff appearance in 2020.

To expand on Question Mark’s comment, Paul Hornung was banned by the NFL for nearly a year in 1963-64 for betting on league games and hanging out with shady characters. He missed the entire 1963 season as a result.
According to Hornung’s bio on Wikipedia, Green Bay coach Vince Lombardi intensely lobbied NFL commissioner Pete Rozelle to lift what had originally been an indefinite suspension. In return, Hornung promised to clean up his act.

Kim Ng is the most influential and capable person in baseball executive offices you never heard of. Her claim to original fame was the valuation of baseball players for purposes of contract negotiations.
Her hiring was long overdue. And is a condemnation of the thinking of other teams who needed a GM but passed her by. Miami is clearly on the rise for multiple reasons. I bet they got a good deal too.
