For Brentwood MacDonald led the way with 19 points, including several steals in which he went the length of the court for easy buckets. Thomas Oosterbroek did the work down in the paint for 13 points, William Clark had eight and Coleman added six.

For the Bulldogs Mckay had a team high 19 points including three from downtown. Smith had 16 and Chesley Chance was also in double figures with 10.

Pasadena fell to 1-2 on the young season with the loss.

“I don’t schedule these early season games to rack up wins, I schedule them so we can learn and grow from them,” said Pasadena Coach Tony Brooks. “These are good programs that we are playing. We need to play them so we can improve and get better.”

Brentwood improved to 3-2 with the win.

Next up for Pasadena is the Pacific League opener Friday night at Arcadia.
