Tbh I’ve seen teams rule the summer before the pads come on and then have a terrible fall, just some fun discussion.

It would appear that Cal coach Louie Zamora is placing a heavy emphasis on the passing game this coming season. Obviously taking a page out of the Vinnie Lopez book, he knows this is the way to challenge his cross-town rival La Serna. Coach Z needs to understand in no uncertain terms what Lopez learned: you need a tough defense as well, lest the Lancers burn-out the scoreboard with points. Best of luck to all in the fall.

    Upland won again….

I believe Schurr was 2nd, El Rancho was 4th or 5th, La Serna was there but heard they didn’t fare too well.

This will be a new year and close to normal as possible. The true will hurt. The Lakers and Dodgers will not win championships this year, team like Amat and St Paul will be back. A lot of teams that won this year is because of other teams did not participate. I would not put too much credence in this years so call “champs,” high school and pros. Some high school teams are pounding their chest and will come down to earth. Good for them but the clock will strike 12 this year.

    A few notes
    Charter Oak is back
    – La Serna is still the real deal
    – Ayala will come back down to earth.
    – Watch out for Cal-Hi!
    – San Gabriel will make some noise in the Almont
    – Monrovia lacks discipline. Would make sense for Matt to go there.
    – Rancho Cucamonga. What happened?
    – Santiago would dominate most leagues but need to get away from Cen10 and Norco
-BP, not bad. Ibis has a few pieces.
    – Arroyo will rule the MVL again.
