  1. The Phoenix Suns beat the Milwaukee Bucks 118-105 Tuesday night in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. 
  2. The Atlanta Hawks have reached an agreement with Nate McMillan to be the team’s permanent head coach. 
  3. Number 1 overall pick Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence signed a four-year, $36.8 million contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars. 
  4. “So today I had to take reps at Scout team QB during inside run (8 carries for 67 yards btw). I say that just to say this. I’m in so much pain right now.” – Pasadena OC Robert Maxie on Twitter. 
  5. The passing league tournament scheduled at Pasadena High School for July 17th has been canceled. Pasadena will be playing in the Salesian Tournament that day. 
  6. Columbus Blue Jackets goalie Matiss Kivlenieks, 24, was killed in a fireworks accident on July 4th. 
  7. The Arizona Diamondbacks have the worst record in baseball at 23-63 heading into Tuesday night’s action. 
  8. Former UCLA head coach Terry Donahue, who passed away Sunday at the age of 77, is the winningest coach in UCLA history with 151 and also has the most wins in Pac 12 history with 98. Donahue was the first to appear in a Rose Bowl as a player, assistant coach and head coach. 
  9. The Bonita Air Assault is set for this Saturday July 10th. 
  10.  Happy Birthday to former Virginia/NBA Center Ralph Sampson who turns 61 today.
