The El Monte District has won 2 rings in the last 5 years.
Most districts don’t focus on sports they focus on education.
The advice should be go to a school where you can get your education, be with your friends, and enjoy your high school experience.
You really think loads of kids are going college let alone pro from El Monte? How many kids can you name in the last ten years from the district that went D1 let alone got playing time.
How serious can a school be that takes a year off football. Why would any serious football player or coach would want to compete at any school in the El Monte union school district. They would not let their schools compete in football last year. This was a big reason coach C from El Monte left and Arroyo is in the same district. Football is not a priority in the district. If you are serious about football I would get out of the district and attend any school that make sports a priority.

I’m particularly eager to see what Arroyo’s passing attack looks like, because if it’s really on, coach Chuck’s group will be formidable. Best of luck to all participants, but especially the Knights.
