In the Heavyweight Division Brian Fetherolf beat Michael Villareal by submission in the second round

(Arcadia) – Ring of Fire and the Vault MMA presented “Quake in the Cage” Friday night at the Arcadia Masonic Temple in front of a sold out crowd.
Edward Chavez of El Monte fighting for the Submission Factory started off the night against Danny Vega who was representing The Vault MMA. Chavez came right in looking to take the fight to the ground and got the takedown but Vega popped right up. Vega threw some hard shots when Chavez went in for the takedown again Vega caught him with a knee to the groin and was taken a point. When the fight started up again Vega came with a flurry of punches, until Chavez landed some of his own.
In the second round it was all Chavez, taking the fight right to the ground and landing some hard ground and pound shots. Chavez was able to take Vega’s back and sink in a rear naked choke for the win.
Former Temple City lineman Paul Uhl (The Vault) went up against Robert Anderson (IMAC). Anderson got the takedown to start the fight however Uhl was able to reverse it and land a little ground and pound. The fight got back to its feet but was right back down to the ground on a Uhl slam but Anderson got on top quick. It was a stalemate on the ground and the round was over.
In the second round Anderson landed some hard leg kicks that slowed Uhl down. Uhl landed a couple big right hands that kept Anderson on his toes. More leg kicks hurt Uhl but the fight continued and Uhl was poked in the eye. In the middle of rounds the ringside doctor stopped the fight due to the eye injury and Uhl was unable to come out for the third round.
The Vault’s Max Garibay (The Vault) went up against Alan Perez into what turned into a chess match on the ground. Perez got the better in the first round getting a takedown and almost locking in two submissions but Garibay fought out of them.
Perez got another takedown in the second round but Garibay reversed it and attempted submissions of his own but Perez was able to escape. In the third round Garibay got the takedown and controlled the whole round and was able to come out with a decision win.
