@ sg: Instead of being resentful that Alhambra made the playoffs, you should be grateful that your team got in. The Matadors were just a coin toss or two away from ending up like Bell Gardens did, which is out of luck.
There would’ve been no need to make use of the coin flips if San Gabriel had beaten Schurr last Friday. It looked like Alhambra was going to get into the playoffs anyway as the third-place team.
And, yeah, getting in this year—of all years—sort of makes up for not receiving a playoff berth in 2018, when we had a much better record.

I’d be interested to know how the attendance at this week’s AHS-Santa Rosa clash compares with that of last week’s Warren-Downey game. CIF is using its ‘power rating’ as a guide to creating divisions and pairings…I’d like to propose another metric: how many butts does a team usually put in the bleachers? For the number on this week’s Moors game attendance, I humbly defer to my esteemed fellow commenter, Mr. Ron Vrooman.

That’s rich coming from a San Gabriel fan 😂. Let’s see last time y’all made the playoffs was 11 right ? And btw Alhambra was 8-2 in 18 and didn’t get in the playoffs but I guess that’s cool right ? Typical sg will always be the little brother to Alhambra. Just enjoy the playoffs ok and keep Alhambra off your mind ,btw first win over Alhambra since 12 so I guess y’all need to puff out your chest !

#6: Everybody makes the playoffs. You have to be pretty bad to have to stay home on week 11. Even Alhambra got in.

Would not be super excited to go 10-0 just to get an angry Downey team in the 1st round.

With Moschetti back in the saddle at the Mirada, that playoff string could reach fifty.
