Not sure what exactly the LS QB numbers were but in the Orange County register it had George #7 with 7 catches 135 yards 1 TD and #2 had a few catches. Not sure where your 90 yards passing comment is coming from. Bottom line if you’re an Orange high school fan you should be thoroughly embarrassed.

No one said that, people said the tough schedule didn’t make a difference for Cal, they still lost to El Rancho, what was the excuse that night? ER just got a terrible draw, Cal got a favorable one. We know what the head to head result was. Good luck Friday vs highland, ER has no hate for cal, lots of good ER people over there, don’t be surprised if our coach is helping Zamora in one way or another this week. Not sure why you are so bitter at ER, well I know the answer so why do I even ask…
Schurr went undefeated in league and won the title. That’s all you play for. There is only 1 team that will win the CIF title per division. Congratulations to all the teams that won league. The fact that adults come here and bash programs that kids play for is pathetic!
Schurr are league champs and beat Montebello that’s why we play! Most of you here that are shaming coaches, programs and kids are miserable and probably wear your mask when driving alone!!!!!

I read he was mediocre and it’s his team that makes him look good. I saw that and his throws were pretty weak. He should’ve had more yards w those QB keepers. Not impressed at all. to Coacher.. Re Rio Hondo League, news flash Poly was assigned division 12 and So Pasadena Division 13.. so yes both were ranked under Divison 11, so what is the issue.
Monrovia finally got an opponent worthy of their 10-1 record in Div 6 and lost. Where was Free agent Kurt Scoby their.. errr “home school enhancement program”running back when they needed him? Just goes to show the boosters have work to do to get that next big transfer in to make the difference as they dance with the big boys.

I distinctly remember ER fans saying La Serna’s schedule meant nothing and on and on about how they got smacked by Warren. Maybe if you guys scheduled up you wouldn’t be getting blown out in the first round and in the DRL “championship” game.
9-2 vs weak ass opponents means nothing. Don’t believe me? Look at Monrovia. Their one loss was against their first round opponent. Cal at least stepped up vs Downey and El Toro. who did ya’ll play? Nobody.

Miramonte, Mission Valley, Almont, Del Rio (besides LS), Montview, 605, Mt.Baldy 4, Rio Hondo (minus Monrovia) all those leagues teams shouldn’t be higher then D11.

Tough one to lose for Bassett. The poor kid missed a chip shot field goal as time ran out. I feel for the kid, but it was a great game to be a part of. Nothing like playoff football especially for a team that had no business playing in that division. Maybe they should of had a home game for winning league, maybe they should of played in a lower division, maybe the kids that quit early in the year and Spat would let them back on the team when they started to win, and maybe etc… Yes all these maybe’s but I think Bassett did the right thing and win league and embraced the challenge.

First off San Gabriel and Alhambra stay in your lane what are you DIV 13 and 14. More like pop warner DIV. Unfortunately Schurr was matched up against a team that yearly recruits players. When you play a catholic school that has money that equals and guarantees players from all over the area. This program filters more then the usual 1 or 2 transfers we see in public schools. St Anthony is a good team. Solid O and D line 6’4 and up. When it comes to winning with respect and pride no where to be found. All you found was a bunch of spoiled brats yelling at the refs and engaging with the Schurr crowd. When you are winning let your play do the talking. Really trashy team when it comes to St. Anthony winning and starring down the Schurr parents in the parking lot. To the coaches win with some class act and as if you won before.
El rancho thanks for admitting you don’t belong on the field with the best. ER has the worst unrealistic fan base. If you guys were humble I don’t think people would hate on you so much. Wishful thinking though because the over weight ranch18 is clueless and abs still thinks they will win the DRL. Reality you are a D10 or 11 problem. Basically a participation trophy team. I hope they schedule a harder preseason next year and maybe you’ll have a better run in playoffs. Tell your HC he needs to get a new offense.

So the season comes to an end with a 9-2 finish. If you go back to the spring a schedule with Don Lugo, Bell Gardens, Sierra Vista, Montebello, Santa Ana/Covina, Norwalk probably would be a decent season, unfortunately it did not do enough to prepare us for such a tough draw. I gotta hand it to Leuzinger that team was flat out better than us. They were stacked with athletes, they competed against the likes of Mission Viejo, Calabasas, Amat, Long Beach Poly, Inglewood, truly we didn’t even belong on the same field. CIF’s attempt was good, but the dependence on a very bad calpreps ranking makes me question the system.
The good news is that Orange’s recruits can catch an earlier ride home to South Central now that their season is over.
