Fullerton, CA – KTLA and Los Angeles Angeles of Anaheim flagship station KLAA 830 AM reporting that pitcher Nick Adenhart was pronounced dead in a three-car accident at the corner Lemon Ave and Orangethorpe Ave.
The hit-and-run accident occurred early Thursday morning that involved a minivan and a Mitsubishi that Adenhart was a passenger in. The female driver and another passenger were also killed.
Adenhart from Silver Springs, MD. was the starting pitcher in last nights 6-4 loss to the Oakland A’s. He pitched six-scoreless innings in his season debut scattering seven hits and striking-out five.
In his two seasons with the Angels, Adenhart started four games, winning one game last season.
