Quite informative for being “detached”.
Thanks for the insight. If that is in fact true, I’m even more curious on what this “anonymous” individual is aware of.
TITAN PRIDE!
I’am curious how La Serna, Monrovia, La Habra and Pasadena will fare with no real competion for 5 or 6 weeks? I’m guessing they will struggle.
Please note that CalPreps caps the victory margin at 30 , so there is no difference between beating a team by 35 or 55 in terms of their power rating . So putting in 2s and 3s and limiting blowout has no effect upon their divisional placement or seeding . And the right thing to do for sportsmanship and player development.
Ha ha hee hee. How that work out?
It ain’t the coaching. It’s the entitled kids with whiney parents
So taking all starters out the entire 2nd half ahead by 49 is a tank job??? If we score in the 60s what would have said about us then!!!!!!
Rowland 28 Pomona 21
I couldn’t agree more. Louie is a great guy. Known him since he was a youngster. Always been a class act!
I think this league will soon start to change for the better. I heard some chatter about a league being formed with some other area schools (La Habra, La Mirada, Mayfair, Warren, Downey and La Serna). Not sure how accurate but something along those lines
I believe league changes like this may help the CIF with playoff pairings.
@Anonymous
Not sure if you were at this game last night but please share what you may be privy to. Just looking at the score (55-13), it doesn’t appear that LS “tanked” anything. In speaking with one of my friends who currently coaches at Whittier, he mentioned that LS played starters in the first half (49-7) and got some other kids playing time in the second half. I’m guessing with a running clock in the second half. Would you prefer they showed no class and run the score up? If you have some additional insight, please share.
Love it when elranchito18 comes on here spitting straight bs
@TheRanch18
By all means keep Zamora at Cal. Allows LS and ER to beat them every year lmao
Dude is clueless
Tank job by La Serna? Lol
Whoa… Louie Zamora is a great coach … ER alumni who brings passion out his players … Cal defense was flying yesterday and I know that’s Louie … only people crying about Zamora are the ones who need to look in the mirror and check your kid…. Coaches had a good game plan… kids gotta make plays
The reason kids live him is bc he is a good Man who not only teaches these kids how to grow up and be better men for society.
I wish we had our Alumni at ER helping out … add them to our current staff and one can only dream of the outcome .
The dumbest thing Cal can do is change Hc … if you guys want to cry about something… go see why your district has open enrollment! Bc LS is the only one benefiting.
Great tank job La Serna. Just to get a better seeding in playoffs. Weak look by Whittier All-Star and out of district team. No sense saying you are playing big boy football with bush league move like that.
Rio Hondo Prep punched their ticket to the play offs last night with a 19 to 7 road win against Campbell Hall for second place in league. Go RHP!
From T. Peterson: Added. Thanks.
Artesia was shut out 5 times this year !
They scored 5 in one game and 6 in another
Enjoy your impressive cereal !
Crescenta Valley 21 Arcadia 20. A game that only a few of us cared about.
From T. Peterson: Added. Thanks.
If Muir is rebuilding would have love for them to go hire milvon James and let him work has done a good job at developing talent with Hawkins high and now Inglewood also getting kids to the next level. His someone who can go toe to toe with coach maxie
Coach Eric finally resigning at Alhambra let’s go get coach maxie
Am I reading this right Rowland 3 Pomona 2?
From T. Peterson: Actually it was incorrect. Cal Preps had it wrong as well. It’s been corrected now. Final score was Rowland 28 Pomona 21.
Rio Hondo Prep punches their ticket to the play offs as well at the expense of Campbell Hall on the road to take second place in league. Go Kares!
La Puente 21 vs Ganesha 7
That Ganesha staff is trailer park hood guys.
Bechtel should have stayed in the bleachers. He clearly agitated the refs and they ignored his crying. The coach that cried wolf too often got his team eaten.
Zamora is getting hammered on this thread and I’m here for it. This dude is more concerned about looking cool than he is about developing HS football players.
AD needs to promote someone else from within or find someone new, because there is no reason why Cal should continue to be a 3rd place team.
San Gabriel 21 Alhambra 13 OT Final
roh ohh Damien
When another team can’t put up a single scoring drive throughout the entirety of the game, it is quite convincing.
Teams turning in pads today. Cal, So Hills, Los Altos, Bonita,Rosemead, Dodgers, Yankees. More near misses tonite.
I’m very happy for the kids , just don’t overstate the case and know when you are fortunate
Cal better hope they can find a QB and receivers who he can throw to. No balance in their offense. Too predictable.
Vladimir Putin and Elon Musk have both sent congratulatory messages to Ramon Juarez upon receipt of the news that Pioneer is in the playoffs. It’s been speculated that the mid-term elections may have to be postponed in the event of a single Titan postseason victory. The public celebrations of that event would surpass those of the moon shot and victory in WWII, so the politicians will just have to wait.
Cal needs a Head Coach and staff who instill some discipline, camaraderie, and team unity. Zamora is like a citrate version of Clay Helton. Doesn’t get the best out of, or develops players.
@ Detached Observer:
Who pissed in you cereal? Why the Hating? Can’t you just be happy for theses kids?
Cal HC should’ve been more concerned with coaching up his team and keeping his staff in check rather than making TikToks and keeping half dressed girls on the sidelines. You won’t see this going on with George or Medrano. There was for sure lack of discipline, but how do these coaches expect for these boys to have each others backs when the coaches are the ones causing a division between the defensive players and offensive players?!? C’mon Zamora, I thought you were better than that.
Honestly if you don’t running clock Artesia it’s not too convincing ….
ER came out the shinier of the 2 turds!
Has ER ever got any Cal transfers?!? I highly doubt half the team is “trying to transfer to El Rancho” lol
@Del Rio Watcher
I thought Cal might have been able to pull it off… but a 42-17 prediction? lol
Cal has no discipline and their HC is more concerned about being all buddy buddy with the players more than he is about coaching.
Brutal watching how bad CAL and ER have fallen. Doesn’t look to get better. Surprised they didn’t end in a tie.
Pioneer High School advances to the playoffs for the first time in over two decades with a convincing win over Artesia 22-0.
Cal maybe left out of the playoffs. They came in third but the DRL only gets 2 automatic qualifiers. They will be La Serna( which the computer may place them in the middle of Div 3) and El Rancho (maybe top 8 in Div.11. Cal does not have a qualifying percentage of .500. A lot of strange things would have to happen for Cal to even get an At-Large consideration in Div. 12 or 13. We will have to see how many At-Large openings are filled before any sub.500 team is even considered.
Go watch 605 league football, you don’t know crap about DRL football. Cal had the lead 7-0, ER turned the ball over twice, had multiple players go down during this game and still won 21-14. No wonder half your team is trying to transfer to El Rancho.
Cal vs ER
The battle for who can be the shiniest of two turds
El Rancho is a wounded animal missing too many teeth. Cal will win the automatic play off spot. Playing at home all Cal has to do is keep it on the ground, avoid turnovers and play clean. El Rancho will give you 100 yards in penalties and turn the ball over to you at least 3 times. if Cal jumps into an early lead this ER team panics and starts trying things they are not prepared for leading to a Cal High rout. Cal42-ER 17.
From T. Peterson: Whoops!
@FAN
That D3 is going to be fire with CO, Pasadena and La Serna those have to be the favorites
Bootleg staff making bootleg wuhsd money. Shame on them. They should all go back to the ranch and work for pennies.
Stop complaining where pasadena may be in the playoffs,you can thank all those recruiets (TRANSFERS).You are right needs to be fix,schools that steal players from other schools,by whatever means.
LOL at “Bootleg version”… there is quite a few ER alum on the Cal side. ER favored to win but Cal hoping to get a playoff spot so let’s see how well Cal is prepared. Should be a great game.
47-0 wow!
Pasadena is just on a different level right now… and they dont look to be slowing down anytime soon.
BIG GAME TODAY :
El Rancho vs. Cal (bootleg version ER) LOL
Going to be a good game , both teams equally matched, I know the ER coaches.. arghhmmm sorry Cal coaches will have them BIRDS ready to play .
Lets Go! El Rancho!
Sad part is Muir will have a better chance winning a CIF championship in Division 11 or 12 than
Pasadena will in Division 3. CIF needs to fix this.
