Hmm, I might have a hunch about what you are talking about. Is the school parting ways with Agnew already? Not sure Whittier Union will allow the move I think y’all are attempting, they might be reluctant to allow a move that carries baggage especially if it will affect LS.

I’ll be honest, I don’t think they would go 55-4 vs the DRL since 2010, but maybe something more like 53-6.

What I really wonder about is how great La Serna would be if the private schools that recruit, unlike LS, didn’t siphon out some of that top Friendly Hills talent.

The homegrown, do it the right way program @LS, would be even stronger without losing players to Amat, Servite, St Paul, Loyola, SJ Bosco etc.

I think you might be right,
    SF is improving, trending upward.

The last 3 times they played
La Serna 41, Santa Fe 0
La Serna 42, Santa Fe 0
La Serna 55, Santa Fe 0

    LS 138, Chiefs 0.

    And then this year…
La Serna 42, Santa Fe 6

    Santa Fe scored 6 pts!!!!!!
    Let’s go Chiefs

@SGV – you will never shut up ER, even when we dominated 2000’s , ER was always right back at it. I gotta respect they stick to them Donnas no matter win or lose. Funny part is when they bring up the national title from the 50’s LOL

@Facts – well we would still have all our inner city kids if we had open enrollment back then. Funny how WUSD changes the rules once LS began to get in the hot seat. Gotta protect its rich cow?

wait till you see what we have cooking, let the tears start rolling from the top of them hills.

@Old School Chief haha talk about fall from grace. No teams from DRL would get far in D3. ER is garbage LS is good but not D3 good and a little overrated. CAL show promise but blow in the end. The rest not even worth a mention.

I doubt Friendly Hills kids would be good enough to field winning team.

    LS still sucks!!!
Whittier unified takes away OPEN ENROLLMENT… you go back to battling Whittier and pioneer like the old DRL

Hold backs ? Didn’t you guys just graduate your glorified WR hold back ? You guys have more holdbacks on your roster than anyone in DRL ! lol

Lol , your just mad bc ER had the best QB in the DRL !
And with out a doubt the League MVP if your coach isn’t biased and tries to Vote for a LS kid

You got a good team , but you don’t have the best player … FACTS

Anyone who follows our league can see

LS, humble yourself … crazy part is the friends I know who have kids at LS and parents I’ve spoken too… don’t have anything near this level of arrogance. LS fans on here seriously make them all look bad … but I guess that’s why you stay anonymous

Be ready bc we are making moves at SF , starting by taking our kids who left for LS and live around the corner from our school

    Enough is enough

La Serna is (24-11) in the playoffs since 2010
with 8 trips to the Semifinals, 5 Finals,
    & 1 CIF Title.

They’ve done all that in playing in Div 3-6,
not in Div 10-14 like your team.

No shame in losing to Palos Verdes.
Solid squad. There’s no easy playoff games
    in D1, D2, or D3.

Yes the QB and MLB are holdbacks, holdbacks are the norm in HS sports, why even mention it? Their HS careers have now ended. ER will return 17 starters, 6 were sophomores, could’ve been 7 but I won’t count the one who broke his collar bone early in the season. Bodes well for the future, but still need some more pieces, not enough speed.

You are correct on rise of the Titans, coaches get most out of their kids. With no tranfers, they are solid on offense, defense special teams which are always practiced a few days a week. There fg kicker has made 7 fgs and has only missed a few extra points. They young with lots of starters returning.

    @ Just the facts

    Don’t even go there.
If I was on the field, I would be the first one consoling our QB and players on a great season. We came out flat and had a bad offensive game, every good team has one from time to time. We were out coached and their play reminded me of our team, discipline in the trenches. LS and Palos Verdes were evenly matched and it was a hard fought defensive game. Palos Verdes now has to play Yorba Linda in round 2 and hopefully their defense can stop them.

funny how LS coaches get a lot of “glory” on here because they coach in the del taco league but last night they were TOTALLY OUT COACHED by PV . All respect to PV but they were no one special, I just hope it’s not the same special teams coach that was there in 2019 (loss to Pacifica on a PAT) . Kids played hard but coaches let them down …. once again

Warren coach Pearson will now go shopping for a QB to replace his graduating star, whose collegiate value just took a hit in the Sierra Canyon loss. Yes, Sierra Canyon is a tough out, but so are all the big-time college teams that this kid would be lining-up against.

It’s part of the game bobby, if you don’t have the speed to stop some great athletes you can’t win. Not an excuse, just a reality. There was no double holdback LB at ER. There’s no other person I would want leading the way at the ranch other than coach medrano, he does it the right way.

It was clear from the start of the year this would be a rebuilding year, offensively we struggled to find a consistent rb, wr depth went from average to abysmal after losing multiple starters, defensively very young. ER had 5 sophomores on the field most of the season, they took their lumps but that will be a strong point going forward.

No excuses, LS loss plain and simple. Our QB came out flat, his passing was slow and predictable, our running game was none existent and the special teams couldn’t perform. The only bright spot was our defence, they kept us in the game. Man it’s tough to lose by only 2 points. Hats off to Palos Verdes, good luck in the D3 playoffs.

So ER gets a fast and athletic squad from Palmdale, individual speed just hard to stop especially when most of the depth is gone due to so many different reasons. Uncharacteristic of most ER teams during the medrano era, ER kept putting the ball on the ground, 4 turnovers resulted in 4 TD drives, the difference between a 42-13 and a 14-13. ER too young, not fast enough for the speed that Palmdale brought.

LS and EM were coached up kids that know the game that don’t rely on their athleticism and that’s what Dena thought they were going to beat everyone with for the most part they could but once they played kids that knew the game and against coaches that coach they couldn’t do it. Even if it was just by one point each game. Maybe a little change up in the staff with less talking and they’ll be a force for a while.
