1. With a 28-0 win over San Dimas Saturday night Bonita has now won five straight in the Smudge Pot. 

2. UCLA beat San Diego State 35-10 Saturday in San Diego. 

3. The Rams beat the Seattle Seahawks 30-13 Sunday in Seattle to open the 2023 season. 

4. Former Workman quarterback Ike Udengwu is now playing quarterback for Eastern Michigan. 

5. Texas beat number three ranked Alabama 34-24 Saturday. 

6. Colorado won its second straight game beating Nebraska 36-14 Saturday. 

7. Michigan State head coach Mel Tucker has been suspended without pay while the university investigates claims that he sexually harassed a prominent sexual assault awareness speaker after she was hired to address the Spartan team.

8. Baltimore Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins tore his Achilles in a season opening 25-9 win over the Houston Texans Sunday and is out for the year.

9. Former Monrovia receiver Carlos Hernandez has 7 receptions for 72 yards in his first two games for Washington State.

10. Sunday Night Football: Dallas Cowboys 40 New York Giants 0.

    I hadn’t heard about QB Udengwu since his days at Workman 2018 with Coach Spat .

    It looks like he had some good years at Mt Sac . Love to see the local kids progress and play at next level, especially D1 opportunities. Still not sure what it says about situation that Workman was 5-6 his senior year with victories only over schools with -40 CalPreps ratings #nodefense#coaching
