  2. Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis confirmed that he is out for the season after suffering a left leg injury against North Alabama last Saturday. 
  3. The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs 21-17 on Monday Night Football. 
  4. Former Lakers great Michael Cooper, who last year was the head coach at Culver City and has had several coaching stints including the head coach of the LA Sparks of the WNBA, is now an assistant coach at Cal State LA. 
  5. The Indianapolis Colts waived All-Pro linebacker Shaquille Leonard Tuesday. 
  6. The Rams and the Chargers are both 4-6 through 10 games. 
  7. “I think there’s a lot of mediocrity in today’s NFL. I don’t see the excellence that I saw in the past.” – Tom Brady. 
  8. Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson underwent surgery Tuesday to repair the displaced fracture in his right shoulder. He should be ready for the start of the 2024 season. 
  9. New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson was benched Sunday and has relinquished his starting to job to Tim Boyle who will start Friday against the Miami Dolphins. 
  10. The San Diego Padres named Mike Schildt as their new manager. Shildt managed the St. Louis Cardinals from 2019 to 2021 before being fired.

    7 I think Brady will go down as one of the best that ever played quarter back. That being said why does he feel the need to make a statement that infers now he’s out of the game it’s not very good. While that may be true it’s something a future Hall of Famer doesn’t need to say. It’s beneath him. Just go quietly off into the sunset and enjoy the benefits of your hard work. Maybe make an appearance on Dancing with the Stars.
