Sierra Vista Selects Brown

Travis Brown, shown here at Los Altos, is set to be the new head coach at Sierra Vista.

By Tim Peterson

(Baldwin Park) – Sierra Vista is set to name Travis Brown as it’s new head football coach sources confirmed late Friday. The announcement is pending board approval.

Brown took last year off from coaching. His most recent stop was at Bishop Amat where he was an assistant in 2022. Brown has also had head coaching stops at Duarte, Cantwell and Los Altos.

Brown takes over for Jesse Ceniceros who stepped down earlier this month after two years at the helm.

The Dons finished 2-8 last year and missed the playoffs.

    @Truth,

    Saw them for a couple games at the Maranatha tournament. They disposed of some teams much bigger than them. QB has an arm, receivers run sharp routes and defense sprints to the ball.
    You’re probably right about a running clock vs LS but don’t they do that to all the teams in their league?

    Im sitting here thinking how easy principals make it for me, bringing in all the Falcons. They have no proven winning track record… We dont even have to practice to beat them. check mark Win. Too easy! El Rancho.

    It’s been a while since an unrelated topic has been hi jacked by ER content. All we need to do now is add La Serna and mix in a few comments about Spathias being the greatest coach on earth and everything will be status quo!!!

    As I recall, the Dons of El Rancho also posted a 2-8 mark last season. Does this amount of winning get board approval?

    It’s a win-win for both sides at this point of the off season.
