  2. Guard Chris Paul agreed to a one-year contract with the San Antonio Spurs. 
  3. Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham signed a five-year, $224 million extension rookie extension with the team. 
  4. Former Cleveland Browns star quarterback Bernie Kosar has been diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver and Parkinson’s disease according to a story in Cleveland Magazine.  
  5. The Dodgers placed All-Star right-hander Tyler Glasnow on the 15-day injured list with back tightness.
  6. Charter Oak is the only San Gabriel Valley team in the Battle at the Beach this Saturday at Edison High School. 
  7. Pomona has hired a new football coach – pending board approval. Announcement expected soon.  
  8. Maranatha quarterback Luke McNulty 2023 stats: Passing: 97-149-1,688 yards 22 TD. 
  9. Bobby Miller allowed nine earned runs and 10 hits in 4 innings Tuesday night as the Dodgers were routed by the Philadelphia Philles 10-1. 
  10. Former college head football coach/ NFL coach Urban Meyer turns 60 today.

    No Keppel in this one? I thought that by hosting their own tourney, they’re now in the big time. I also noticed La Serna isn’t here either…probably because the Lancers feel the competition is beneath them.

    #9 Knowing when to pull a pitcher is a very abstract thing apparently because Dave Roberts never knows when to do it. 9 runs and 10 hits and then he decides it’s time? It’s way past time for a change.
