(Westlake Village) – Receiver Jaylen Moore, who played at Monrovia in 2022 before transferring to Westlake last year is moving on to Miami Edison High School in Florida for his senior season he announced on Twitter (X).
Last year at Westlake Moore caught 33 passes for 474 yards and 3 touchdowns. In 2022 at Monrovia he hauled in 34 catches for 560 yards and 8 touchdowns.
“First off I’d like to thank the staff and my teammates at Westlake for welcoming me to their program with open arms this past season. With that being said I will be moving to Florida to play my senior year at Miami Edison High School!” Moore posted on Twitter (X).
Personally, I appreciate and am interested in all transfer news , even if it doesn’t light up my radar screen . Thanks Tim !
Who cares if he goes to Florida, why is that even news,
From T. Peterson: Again he used to play at Monrovia and it was rumored that he might return there. He’s a local player that is transferring out of state. You may not care but High School football fans do.
I think what ‘?’ is trying to say is “please, stop humoring these guys.” I could be wrong, but that’s my sentiment. The HS football environment’s level of travesty is vast becoming more egregious than before. That’s saying something quite substantial at this point.
Why is this a headline story? Is the Mid just stirring the pot?
From T. Peterson: He started his High School career at Monrovia. Definitely a local kid. People are interested. Not sure what pot I’m stirring. He posted it himself on X.
