  1. The Las Vegas Raiders fired head coach Antonio Pierce Tuesday after his first full season. 
  2. Northview wide receiver Isaiah Lucero has received offers from BYU and New Mexico.
  3. The Chargers signed running back Ezekiel Elliot who was released by the Dallas Cowboys last week. 
  4. Alex Pierce, who was the tight ends coach last season, has been named the new head football coach at Rancho Cucamonga. 
  5. The New York Jets interviewed Rex Ryan Tuesday for their head coach position. 
  6. Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty is declaring for the NFL draft. 
  7. The Detroit Lions expect running back David Montgomery to be ready for the playoffs. The Lions have a bye in the first round. 
  8. The Rams will host the Minnesota Vikings Monday night at SoFi Stadium at 5:00 p.m. in the first round of the NFC Playoffs. In the AFC the Chargers are at Houston to face the Texans at 1:30 p.m. 
  9. The San Francisco Giants signed pitcher Justin Verlander to a one-year, $15 million deal. 
  10. The Cleveland Cavaliers have the best record in the NBA at 31-4.
