Last Add Rams 2024: 13 yards and a point after from hosting the NFC Championship game.

On Monday night, I was rooting for Notre Dame, but Ohio State’s victory was unsurprising. I will never be a Buckeye fan, but Ryan Day and his team turned it on in the post-season so good for them.
Last Add Ryan Day: I went into the post-game expecting ESPN to ask Day how he felt about beating the first African/Asian American HC to make it to the college football national championship.
Instead, I got Reece Davis and Scott Van Pelt’s discussion on faith affecting the Ohio State football players. Avoiding the low-hanging fruit of saying it was just for victory, but to a really nuanced sharing of the life-changing impact of faith across the OSU campus beyond football.
It was the most interesting thing I’ve seen on ESPN in 30 years.

The Dodgers’ signing of Roki Sasaki does not upset me as a Mets fan…or as a baseball fan.
All these whiners about financial unfairness weren’t whining when the Yankees and Red Sox were doing it twenty years ago.
Also, the Dodgers didn’t tell the Padres to waste all their capital on a series of bad contracts with questionable talent.

Curious to see who Detroit Lions HC Dan Campbell brings in to replace Ben Johnson at OC.
Campbell and GM Brad Holmes should already have a call out to Robert Saleh to replace Aaron Glenn at DC when the time comes.

Note to Rams Fans: Two things are going to come out of this post-season for running back Kyren Williams.
1.)—He’ll do the work to quell the fumbling issue and have a great 2025. I believe he’s that kind of a player.
2.)—The fumbling issue means the Rams won’t be pressured to extend him before the end of his fourth year (the last of his rookie contract).

The Mets are not serious about contending if they can’t find a way to bring Pete Alonso back.

Can I ask about commitment here? The Lakers were off Monday night. Tuesday night, they have a home game against the basketball team formerly known as the Bullets. In the interim, LeBron flies to Atlanta to watch the college football national championship.
Now, you can say he’s earned the right to do that. Fine, but don’t tell me he’s committed to the Lakers in 2024-2025.
I’d be hacked if I were a teammate, coach, general manager, or owner.
This is why the Lakers are only a half-game away from being in the play-in tourney. You don’t have to be Nostradamus to see them making the playoffs, getting bounced, and the same off-season narrative starting all over again.
Note to Jeanie Buss: You no longer have the chips to play this game. Sell the team.

Really Last Add Rams: Waiting for an update on Braden Fiske’s knee injury.

Like clockwork on today’s broadcast, Colin Cowherd went into Lamar Jackson Protection mode. Cowherd literally said Lamar doesn’t have enough help.
He mentioned Mark Andrews—yes, he had the drop, but Andrews is an elite NFL tight end.
He mentioned Zay Flowers being hurt…well, who was responsible for Flowers being hurt?
He didn’t mention Derrick Henry.
Baltimore should hire the KBM (the Kiss Butt Media) to play left tackle and protect Jackson’s blind side. Whether he throws six picks or zero picks, the media will always declare Jackson doesn’t have enough help.
Jackson didn’t lose the game because of his turnovers, and the Ravens didn’t lose because of Andrews’ drop.
Baltimore lost because the Bills are a better team.

*He has NOT been unlucky ….
I have to agree with the evaluation on Lamar and how the media handles him. He was pretty good in the game Sunday , but his two early turnovers put the Ravens in a losing position throughout the game that his magic could not overcome. He’s now 3-5 in the playoffs. He has a heck of a team around him. Sure he’s great , but a lot of NFL QBs have crazy talent ( Herbert , Prescott , Goff, et al) but they are not elite despite statistics and highlights. Everyone loved to rip Daniel Jones , Baker Mayfield – circa 2022 /Sam Darnold , but Lamar gets free pass. I heard some media say they were rooting for him because he was “jinxed” . He has been unlucky in playoffs , he’s just been turnover prone and ordinary. Sunday , he played better than previous playoff ousters , but not enough at this stage and with Derrick Henry .
