What to do with this year’s 1st Round Pick…
Football brains like Joe T. on RamView or the gang at Rams Up Podcast agree with the Ramily, and that the team should trade back from #26.
With two rounds worth of picks between our team’s first pick and next at #90, the smart bet is to trade down and gather some picks. With half the picks coming in the 6th, the need is to move into the Top 100. With that said, what position do the Rams target if they stay at #26?
The Rams shored up the middle with Poona Ford, and it’s unlikely they will take a linebacker at #26. The next most significant needs are a cornerback, another wide receiver to be in-house after all these one and two-year contracts expire, and a quarterback we can mold for the post-Stafford era.
Note: The need to draft O-line is always there, but you’ll get similarly graded players at #26, and they’ll be there at #90.
Four players that may be available on draft night:

RamView Live Today at 5PM On YouTube
1.)—WR Matthew Golden (Texas): was the fastest receiver at the combine at a blistering 4.29 and could stretch defenses well past the current Super Bowl window.
2.)—WR Emeka Egbuka (Ohio State): Egbuka is a fantastic talent and a perfect fit alongside Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. Like Golden, he is a generational talent.
3.)—QB Jaxson Dart (Ole Miss): If the Big Ram Fan in The Sky decides to shine grace upon the organization and Dart is available at #26, he is a must-grab. Stetson Bennett is no longer in the discussion. It’s time to move on and start a new QB project. This remains a long shot due to the fact that Dart is climbing into the top ten of many mock drafts.
4.)—DB Jahdae Barron (Texas): This guy has speed, size, and a ball hawk. He could anchor the secondary for many years.
While I tend to agree that the Rams should trade back and add a second/third-round pick, if they stay put, they could find something special in Golden. Egbuka, Dart, and Barron.

Late Note: The Rams have re-signed cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon to a one-year contract.
