Years ago, when Crypto was called Staples, I had lower-level seats, and at halftime, I went up to see what the upper level view was. Trust me, you don’t want to pay for seats in that area of the arena. Way up there, you feel like you’re not even in the building, but instead looking down from the Goodyear blimp. This unfortunate situation has been caused by the money-grubbing need to have all those luxury suites piled on top of the lower level. To show how serious I am, I would decline FREE upper level tickets to game seven of the NBA championship…they are that bad.
From Joe T.: When I was young, I’d have done anything to be at the Forum…but you’re right. Unless I was in the press box, for most of these stadiums and arenas, I’d rather watch the game from the RamCave. Traffic, costs beyond ticket price, and the lottery of who you’re sitting with and around are great persuaders to stay home.
