8. Baseball: Ganesha beat La Puente 26-0 Thursday. Kalena Lemus threw a perfect game for Ganesha. In five innings he faced 15 batters and had 15 strikeouts.
9. On this date in 1970 UCLA beat Jacksonville 80-69 to win their fourth straight NCAA Championship under head coach John Wooden. 
10. McNeese St. head coach Will Wade is leaving the team as soon as the team is eliminated from the NCAA Tournament to become the head coach at North Carolina State.
