- Baseball: Ganesha beat La Puente 26-0 Thursday. Kalena Lemus threw a perfect game for Ganesha. In five innings he faced 15 batters and had 15 strikeouts.
- On this date in 1970 UCLA beat Jacksonville 80-69 to win their fourth straight NCAA Championship under head coach John Wooden.
- McNeese St. head coach Will Wade is leaving the team as soon as the team is eliminated from the NCAA Tournament to become the head coach at North Carolina State.
