    Personally I’m passed all that, we got the facilities we wanted that our kids and community can enjoy, no need to be miserable trying to find bs to complain about. It’s done and it’s beautiful!

    @Omission,

    I heard residents thanked quite a few times actually. Residents, also means “community.” Remember, the are the one’s who voted for this bond measure to pass and agreed to have the higher tax bump. Did you vote no on the bond measure?

    A lot of the other taxes are county and state driven and have nothing to do with bond Measure ER.

    But to your point, I would have much rather heard from coaches and players instead of hearing from all of the board members and politicians.

    While everyone was busy talking about how great the new ER sports layout is for the kids, zero thanks were given to the residents of the city, who are having to pay for the project–plus interest–with forever property tax increases. Don’t know about you, but when somebody pays for something I like and enjoy, I feel it’s only proper to give a heartfelt “thank you” to my benefactor.

    Lest any ER student feels insulated from the expense of this thing, it will be reflected in their parents having less money to give them for the things they want and need, because those parents must funnel that cash into paying for this construction, which of course was done with borrowed money.
