1. Chicago Bears legendary defensive tackle Steve McMichael, 67, passed away Wednesday after a long battle with ALS.

2. Five-star prospect and USC commit Alijah Arenas, son of former NBA star Gilbert Arenas, was in a serious car accident early Thursday morning and was placed into an induced coma.

3. The Clippers beat the Denver Nuggets 117-83 Thursday night to take a 2-1 in their Western Conference playoff series.

4. The Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Miami Heat 121-112 Wednesday night to take a 2-0 lead in their Eastern Conference playoff series. 

5. Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders was not taken in the first round of the NFL draft Thursday nght.  

6. The Dodgers dropped two games to the Cubs in Chicago to fall to 16-9 on the season. 

7. The New York Mets have the best record in baseball at 18-7.

8. The Detroit Lions signed safety Kerby Joseph to a four-year, $86 million extension. 

9. The Kings beat the Edmonton Oilers 6-2 Wednesday night to take a 2-0 lead in their Western Conference playoff series. 

10. The Foothill League releaguing voting is set for May 1.

    Teams don’t want to take a chance on Sanders. He would be a huge distraction for any team. Boosting himself over team is a concern for many coaches.

    That game should be played every year!

    With the drafting of Mason Graham at #5 and Tetairoa McMillan at #8, Servite became the first school in California to have two players selected in the top 10, in the same year. These players helped beat St John Bosco a couple years ago in the division one semifinals. As I recall, the superior court is also in the process of trying to defeat Bosco by finding Jason Negro guilty of running a shady all-cash slush-fund operation.
