Are you kidding me? The only reason SEM was in the finals last year was because of the new playoff system. Look at SEM teams of the 90’s and early 2000’s. They were way better teams and never got close to a finals game.
It’s the way the new system works. SEM should have won. Plain and simple. Marshall is still in it. Go cry somewhere else.

Really: I agree with you on the equal leagues based on like decades ago. Enrollment , finance, recruiting possibility, etc, and I add one variation on with your three. ‘Success over the previous few years

What i do honestly suggest is that ‘is it fair to SEM (and i dont care if they lost to Arroyo and MV beat Arroyo) and tens of other clubs ? Now if I am wrong on SEM’s record I will eat half of my statement , and agree I should not be creating havoc without correct stats. So people? Is it fair or not\
Sportsman- SEN split with Marshall, Arroyo went on the skids lost to MV and wound up not getting an automatic bid in Division 8. They were the 5th place team but was only 1 of 2 teams that got in as at large bids in that division. Sometime we as fans or parents don’t understand the team dynamics’s. Maybe someone or 2 were hurt. I don’t know. Neither does CIF. Power ratings are done by computers based on strength of schedule and other factors. It’s listed in the CIF Bluebook. I’m not saying who is better, that’s ridiculous. But if the leagues were more equal, as in Student body population, finances, and recruiting elements it would all be better for everyone. Now that might change with the new Mission Valley Conference in 2026-27 season for football. Schurr, Arroyo, Montebello, SEM, Pico Rivera, Rosemead, Bell Gardens. The others are in the B division. Or 14. Nobody wants to see 70-0 games. Or 20-0 in baseball. Good luck to all that are still in!

Mountain View loses to South El Monte 10-0 then 13 – 1 equals HAHA (not sure if i ever saw something
even close to this in my life) SEM out , after winning league again and kicking MV’s butt embarrassingly , in the first round of a division that SEM may belong in! IS IT FAIR, after reading my comment, for MV to lose to SEM 23 to 1 in two league games and playing in the semi finals and SEM (who proved 1000% they could torture MV ten in a row) out of the playoffs? I am not claiming full correctness, but freakin silly/ ridiculous for CIF Officials (how much is their salaries? Maybe $150,000 a year? ) to produce/ develop such ignorance? Hey if I was a parent or player I probably be little proud too, but I believe this is ‘negligence ‘and It is ‘very poor for the game of baseball ! PLEASE DEBATE WITH SUPPORTING EVIDENCE IF YOU THINK I AM INCORRECT
Great to see Mountain View playing so well. Yesterday they looked like a different team from when I saw them earlier in the season. Great job players and coaches. Keep it going!
