- Oklahoma State fired head football coach Mike Gundy after a 1-2 start. Gundy was in his 21st year as the head coach of the Cowboys.
- Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer broke a bone in his right (throwing) hand Saturday in a win over Auburn and will be out for a month.
- Rio Hondo Prep will play Brentwood Saturday October 25th at SoFi Stadium. Kickoff is set for 4:30 PM.
- San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa suffered a season ending torn ACL in Sunday’s win over Arizona.
- Chargers running back Najee Harris tore his Achilles in Sunday’s 23-20 win over the Denver Broncos and is out for the year.
- Bruce Pearl stepped down as the head basketball coach at Auburn after 11 years and will be replaced by his son Steven Pearl.
- The Cleveland Guardians, who were 12.5 games behind the Detroit Tigers in the AL Central on August 25th, are now dead even with Detroit after a 5-2 win over the Tigers Tuesday night.
- The New York Giants are planning to bench quarterback Russell Wilson in favor of Jaxson Dart after three games. Dart will start Sunday against the Chargers.
- Former Cincinnati Bengals running back Rudi Johnson has passed away at the age of 45 the team announced Tuesday. A cause of death was not disclosed.
- Maranatha quarterback Cooper Berry received an offer from Northern Alabama.
