  1. Oklahoma State fired head football coach Mike Gundy after a 1-2 start. Gundy was in his 21st year as the head coach of the Cowboys. 
  2. Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer broke a bone in his right (throwing) hand Saturday in a win over Auburn and will be out for a month. 
  3. Rio Hondo Prep will play Brentwood Saturday October 25th at SoFi Stadium. Kickoff is set for 4:30 PM. 
  4. San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa suffered a season ending torn ACL in Sunday’s win over Arizona. 
  5. Chargers running back Najee Harris tore his Achilles in Sunday’s 23-20 win over the Denver Broncos and is out for the year. 
  6. Bruce Pearl stepped down as the head basketball coach at Auburn after 11 years and will be replaced by his son Steven Pearl.  
  7. The Cleveland Guardians, who were 12.5 games behind the Detroit Tigers in the AL Central on August 25th, are now dead even with Detroit after a 5-2 win over the Tigers Tuesday night. 
  8. The New York Giants are planning to bench quarterback Russell Wilson in favor of Jaxson Dart after three games. Dart will start Sunday against the Chargers. 
  9. Former Cincinnati Bengals running back Rudi Johnson has passed away at the age of 45 the team announced Tuesday. A cause of death was not disclosed. 
  10. Maranatha quarterback Cooper Berry received an offer from Northern Alabama.
