B.J. Lee was the man against South Hills

The Top 20 doesn’t see any new teams breaking into it after Week Two results. Muir drops from the Top five and West Covina moves back in. La Serna also cracks the Top 10 after an impressive win against Wilson-Long Beach.

1. Bonita (3-0) – Escapes with a win at Santa Fe and plays defense in the process.

2. Rowland (3-0) – Second week in a row that Raiders have dropped 30-plus points in the first half.

3. Norwalk (1-2) – Did something La Mirada couldn’t do, Lancers beat St. Paul.

4. La Mirada (1-2) – After two rough weeks, Matadores continue California woes with dominant win.

5. West Covina (2-1) – Impressive in win against South Hills and Bulldogs Zero Week loss doesn’t look as bad as Covina is 3-0.

6. Burbank (2-1) – Defense needs to get shored up before Pacific League begins next week.

7. Muir (1-2) – Danny Huerta and Jeffrey Davis will be a shot in the arm for Mustangs when they return from injury.

8. El Rancho (2-1) – The Mid gave them a pass against Northview, but lost to Bell Gardens team that was shut out the previous week.

9. Diamond Bar (3-0) – It doesn’t matter how they do it; Brahmas continue to impress with quick start.

10. La Serna (2-1) – Downey loss two weeks ago doesn’t look as bad with big win against Wilson-LB.

11. Santa Fe (1-1) – Nearly pulled out the upset against high-scoring Bonita with tough defensive effort. Questions remain with offense.

12. Walnut (1-1) – Comeback to reality after getting carved up by Daniel Kessler’s 301 yards in the air and five touchdowns.

13. Crescenta Valley (1-1) – Doesn’t get easier for the Falcons as they face tough La Canada defense.

14. Arcadia (0-2) – Not willing to dismiss Apaches yet after losses to two quality teams.

15. Burroughs (0-3) – Week off will do Indians well after tough non-league schedule.

16. Diamond Ranch (0-3) – Tough non-league schedule gets a little easier with Chaffey.

17. Mayfair (0-3) – After two losses to Pac-5 opponents in back to back weeks, Monsoons face Mid-Valley opponent Valley Christian.

18. Bellflower (2-1) – Tough loss to Paramount brings Buccaneers win streak to an end.

19. California (0-2) – Things can only get better after tough start to the season.

20. Pasadena (0-2) – Battle for Sierra Madre Blvd. is what the doctored order for ailing Bulldogs.
