2. Oregon pummeled Portland State 84-0 Friday night.
3. USC (4-0) faces Oregon (2-1) Saturday at the Coliseum at 4:30 PM.
4. The Chargers are 0-2 this year and both of their losses have by the identical score of 26-14.
5. AP College Football Top 5: 1. Texas 2. Georgia 3. Notre Dame 4. Ole Miss 5. Indiana. USC is 12th. UCLA (3-0) is not in the Top 25.
6. The Chicago Bears, who beat the Carolina Panthers 59-37 last week, lost to the Minnesota Vikings 9-3 Sunday. Bears quarterback Caleb Williams left the game in the fourth quarter with a right hamstring injury.
7. Ole Miss beat LSU 32-24 Saturday in Lane Kiffin’s return to Mississippi. Kiffin resigned as the head coach at Ole Miss after last season to take over as the head coach at LSU.
8. The Cleveland Browns beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27-20 Sunday to improve to 1-1. Tampa Bay fell to 0-2.
9. Washington Jayden Daniels dislocated his left elbow Sunday in a 37-20 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Daniels is expected to return this season but will undergo more imaging tests Monday.
10. The Atlanta Braves clinched their seventh NL East championship in nine years with a 4-2 win over the Houston Astros Sunday.
