The Bruin Beat: 2/26/2025
The 2024 season ended, UCLA was 5-7 and suddenly the Bruins didn’t have a starting quarterback. Ethan Garbers graduated and took his 2,727 yards and 16 touchdowns with him. Former Inglewood star Justyn Martin, a sophomore who was the heir apparent, said no thank you and transferred to Maryland.

After a 7-6 season last year the USC football program had to sit down and figure out what their biggest need was. What is the biggest need of every college football program in the nation today? Players, recruits, guys that can perform on the field.

The Las Vegas Raiders are heading into their sixth season in the desert. Through the first five they’ve had four head coaches, Pete Carroll will be their fifth.
The team has also had three general managers and have just hired their fourth—John Spytek.
In the five drafts held since coming to Vegas, the Raiders have selected 17 players in the first 100 of the draft. Seventeen picks and they’ve drafted one star. Read more »
