La Puente Ousted In First Round

By Matt Schuler (La Puente)-Austin Brasher led the ground attack for the eagles and accounted for three touchdowns, Lars Nootbaar controlled the game through the air,  and the defense nearly drew a blank as El Segundo advanced to the second round of the CIF Northwest Division Playoffs with a 31-7 win over La Puente Friday Night.  

BREAKING NEWS: Tri-Valley Champs Bishop Diego Sanctioned By CIF

The Tri-Valley League champion, Bishop Diego, will not be hosting any playoff games during the 2012 CIF Southern Section’s Northwest Division playoffs, according to a report posted by Santa Barbara’s PresidioSports.com, published today. Bishop Diego will open the first round at South Torrance, one of the three At-Large teams in the bracket.
