Six of the seven top 10 teams all won with only Salesian taking a tumble. Cathedral, St. Francis, La Serna, Crescenta Valley and Dominguez all won big while Downey proved its mettle with a win over Millikan. Burbank wiped out Canyon. Harvard-Westlake drops out, Burroughs in.

Charter Oak Brings Bell Gardens Back To Earth
by Duane Barker (Bell Gardens) The Charter Oak Chargers traveled south to Bell Gardens to take on the Lancers who had just come off a big victory over Norwalk. The Chargers brought Bell Gardens back to earth with a 49-0 thrashing Friday night.

Glendora Finks on Los Altos, 42-28
By Joe Torosian (Glendora)—Glendora’s Matt Fink sparked the Tartans to a 42-28 victory over Los Altos on Friday night at Citrus College. The senior quarterback accounted for four touchdowns, three through the air and one on the ground.

(El Sereno) – Julio Garcia threw for 143 yards and a pair of touchdowns and Steven Chester caught a 70-yard touchdown pass as Alhambra knocked off LA Wilson 41-25 Friday night in El Sereno.

Northview Cracks Walnut
By Tim Peterson (Covina) – Antwaun Ayers returned a punt 85 yards for a touchdown and also caught a 22-yard TD strike from Steven Comstock to lead Northview to a 35-0 rout of Walnut Thursday night at Covina Valley District Field.
