    ???,

    Ok! We believe you ! Maybe you should pick up the phone and call if your so concerned. We’ll see how long your phone call lasts. You don’t know what your talking about it. That’s obvious. You just spit nonsense because of your dislike of our program. Get a grip D1 guy. BTW, I’m pretty sure you didn’t play D1 because if you did you would recognize the talent pool and this discussion would be over. But everyone is entitled to a opinion. Good luck with that. I sure hope no school ever hires you as a recruiting coordinator. …

    It’s obvious you don’t know the “business”. I myself am a product of a small D1 with a FREE education. I wasn’t stuck on playing for the big boys. I jumped on a great opportunity and ran with it. So, yes I know the business. The sad thing is many of the local talent is done after HS because not too many ” programs” help push and sell these players to the “next level”.
    Happy thanksgiving……don’t choke on the turkey’s neck.

    Pretty smart……next level is not just D1. That’s the problem everyone is so stuck on D1 when there are so many options out there for theses two players.

    ???,

    It’s sad to see that you don’t understand how the next level works. It’s a business and if you can’t play at that level then who’s going to invest tuition money in you? I would love to see those kids move and play but college coaches do not do those types of favors. Issac by far is the best running back to ever play at MHS but you have to be realistic and see his limitations especially after his injury. As for Ryan, his ceiling is a bit higher but I didn’t hear about any schools recruiting him hard. But your the so called expert with all the answers. Where do you think they can play at? I think they both can play D3 or maybe D2 but nothing higher then that.

    Sad to hear that your “program” can’t send players on to the next level. You mean Isaac or Ryan can’t play at the next level? Such a let down.

    ???,

    You just don’t know football. For your info, the backup is a senior and will be graduating. As for whoever is leaving or returning we will deal with it like every year. Just so you know, we return 8 starters on defense. As for offense, we will do our best as we do every year. It’s morons like you that can’t see what’s going on. You act like were loaded with college bound players. MHS will not have one kid moving to the next level. So that right there shows you about getting ” coached up “. The coaches do a great job with the talent they have. Your just another hater that got rolled up by us this year. I can’t stand Monday morning QBs who don’t know a thing about football. Move on clown…

    Btw. Next season when you realize that the offense carried the Team with Issac and Ryan, the “darkside” will be exposed. In fact, reading about all the Oiler coaches being considered for different open positions, it will be a good idea to jump ship because not much talent returning. Wasn’t like the players that are sitting as back ups were coached up because looking at the second string QB against viewpoint looked like he never had a chance to gets reps at practice.

    I somewhat agree with the fact that our Defense is good but I think they get too much credit sometimes, not as good as people think they are. Our Offense though I believe is underrated. Not enough credit given to that side of the ball

    @Anonymous
    I’ve been concerned for the last 3 years and wrote my first comments last year several times here on this site but you must have missed them. Losing games doesn’t bother anybody, it’s not playing to your talents potential, lack of belief in the very people your supposed believe in the most during your short time in high school. That has been the problem over the last 3 years just as I have stated. People come here to rant because telling coach Dahlia will get your child or sibling pulled, benched or just treated like crap from the whole Dahlia family. There are coaches in school that the players love AND respect that would be great for this team and turn it back to proud PROGRAM again. I’ve been around since the good old days when the bleachers where packed the fans where loud the coaches actually hung out together after games and they cheered coach Dahlia when the announcer called his name, not curse him. The whole Paraclete community is hoping for sweeping changes. Rebuilding the coaching staff is all we need because the talent is there. Thanks for your comment…….

    @ inner spirit I appreciate your rant/ concern but didn’t hear any preaching like that last year . YOU guys made it to CIF finals and got beat by a very talented team. This year you would have to he stacked and very well coached to beat Sierra Canyon whose Varsity team has been playing together since they were freshman and the truth is Most of them are juniors and will be back next year. I hope all works out for your team because you do have some talent but this year is over and now maybe you can rebuild also with realignment I’m sure Sierra Canyon moves up a division or 2 and you guys can be the team to beat. GOOD luck

    @ Haters come out,
    Sadly “Concerned” is 100% right! Paraclete football is no longer a proud PROGRAM but just a football team with tons of talent. With revolving door coaching staff, coaches fighting on the sidelines, transfers fighting with veteran players, different offense, different defense, different practice schedule every year, starters not returning to play their senior year, siblings transferring out, players quitting mid season, players even quitting at halftime of games, the complete lack of faith in the head coach, his son the O/C & O/L coach and their new yearly position coaches or a failed system in general. Discontent, anger and blatant dislike of the Dahlias is how most players leave Paraclete. Nobody can call that a program.
    Making bad decisions are par for course over the last few years and it started by giving his son the O/C and O/L coaching positions over PROVEN, QUALIFIED coaches and every year the seniors pay the price. The team {rest of the staff would have too} voted Dominic most disliked coach on staff {people know the difference between GIVEN and EARNED authority}, players nor staff believe in him, his own lineman told him “you don’t know what F#%k your talking about” in practice. After failing time after time, year after year KNOWING all this, you STILL allow Dominic to run your team. Great and even good head coaches make adjustments during the game not saturday am after watching the tape a couple times. With letting your best position and assistant coaches go and replacing them with Dominic and different coaches this is your result, a quarter final loss this year {no disrespect to SD,congrats, hell, we wish we had you’re coaching staff } Football used to be about the seniors and their future but now it seem to be about what the Dahlia’s can get from the school. Paraclete is no longer what it once was, a family first, a down hill, hardcore team that believed in each other, their coaches and a system that they have been running and WINNING with for years and it shows on friday nights with JV size crowds,{even in the playoffs}, cant beat any team equally talented or just plane well coached { I tip my hat to those teams }. It’s sad to know another year goes by with another great group of talented players never got close to reaching the teams potential and thats all any former, current or future Spirit wants.
    So “Haters come out” or Dahlia family member which ever you want to be called, YOU know what they say “The proof is in the pudding” and the pudding just got bounced in the second round. We’re all concerned!!!

    People talk about teaching virtues, modeling conduct and exhibiting professionalism, yet they resort to this medium to air their laundry. If this is your sense of vindication, as a parent, you’re a coward and an embarrassment to come here.

    Its amazing how these “parents” always have a finger ready to point and/or someone to cast all the blame when the wheels fall off. Then to top it off, they mask their grievances with “football talk.” Violins weren’t playing weeks ago and they will not start playing now.

    What do they say….you’re either apart of the solution or part of the problem. Maybe disgruntled parents should enlist their “expert knowledge” instead of trying to burn these coaches at the stake. Because coming here and maligning coaches, teams and programs (no matter the sport) is flatout pathetic.

    Until then, I tip my hats to the good coaches out there who try to make a difference. I also tip my hat to the kids, who, more times than not, are way more respectful and courageous than those who claim to be adults.

    @Lancer Alumni…..

    Funny you say that you have inside info regarding Pete going to Cantwell? I saw the AD from Cantwell this weekend at a basketball function and he said its all rumors regarding Gonzalez. He said he would like to see that happen but its not happening. So keep spreading those rumors if they make you feel better.
    Your right about one thing though, we did get handled in the first round by a semi finalist team. But you guys got to do nothing but turn in your gear and watch other teams play in the post season. Some people are such haters….

    @ Get a clue

    80% of my original post consisted of pure football talk. What you are referring to as “politics” was simply used as a preface to an underlying problem at a dysfunctional program. At Paraclete winning the last game of the season is the goal, not just simply playing past the regular season. I doubt the players and coaches at Bassett, Azusa, Northview, Baldwin Park, El Monte, Schurr, Rosemead, Arroyo and Covina were satisfied with just making the playoffs.

    Thanks for caring enough to read and respond to my post.
