(Glendora) – Junior Morgan and Hayden Lescault combined for 45 points to lead Point Loma to an 86-70 win over Azusa Pacific Tuesday night in the season finale for both teams.

Valencia Steps Down at Burbank
(Burbank) – Hector Valencia has stepped down as the head coach at Burbank after five seasons sources confirmed Saturday.
St. Francis Finishes Fast 56-53
(Pasadena) – St. Francis went on an 11-0 run in the fourth quarter to take a lead it would never relinquish and went on to beat La Canada 56-53 Friday night in the CIF Division 3A semi final before a standing room only crowd at Maranatha High School.
Saints Get Their Rings
(San Dimas) – The San Dimas Saints received their Mid-Valley Division CIF Championship rings Thursday on campus.
Edgewood High to Hold Alumni Game
Edgewood High School will hold an alumni basketball game this Friday night February 28 at 7:00 p.m. on campus. Players from the 70s and 80s teams will be playing the current team.

Even though various names have been surfacing in the Monrovia coaching over the last few weeks search applications were still being accepted through last Friday. Some candidates who originally had planned on interviewing decided not to for one reason or another and others that were extended offers to interview, such as Arroyo’s Jim Singiser, declined.
Cougars Work Double Time for Victory
(Glendora) – Troy Leaf calmly sank three free throws with three seconds left in the first overtime to tie the game at 78 and give Azusa Pacific life and the Cougars went on to beat Point Loma 87-84 in double overtime Saturday at the Felix Event Center.
Gabrielino Girls Make History with Win
The Gabrielino girls made history Thursday night. Teresa Wang scored 24 points and Emily Ho added 18 to lead the Lady Eagles to a 58-39 win over Yucca Valley in the first round of the CIF Division 3A playoffs. This was the first playoff win in girls basketball history.
