Knights Hang On; Alone in First Place

By Tim Peterson (El Monte) – Arroyo jumped out to a big lead in the first half but then had to hang on to beat Rosemead 53-49 Monday night on Senior Night at Arroyo. With the victory Arroyo moved into sole possession of first place in the Mission Valley League.

Schurr Survives; Pulls into First Place Tie with Keppel

By Tim Peterson (Montebello) – Schurr was outscored 25-4 in the fourth quarter but held on to beat Keppel 62-55 Tuesday night on the Spartans home floor. With the victory Schurr pulled into a first-place tie with the Aztecs in the Almont League.
