Eddie Ficklin Jr. is the new head football coach at Maranatha. By Tim Peterson (Pasadena) – Maranatha named Eddie Ficklin Jr. as its new head football coach he confirmed Monday. Ficklin takes over for Rand Holdren who stepped down last month to take the head coach job at Village Christian.

By George Hernandez [El Monte] I sat down with Arroyo’s triathlete Ayleen Bravo who is a Mission Valley all leaguer in flag football, soccer and softball. Bravo is currently hitting .512 with eight doubles, two triples and a home run, and 18 RBIs to go with a .608 on base percentage.

By Tim Peterson Charter Oak racked up 12 runs in the second inning and rolled to a 16-1 rout of Covina Friday on the Chargers home field. The game was called after five innings due to the Mercy Rule.
