Arroyo Runner Up at Baldwin Park Tourney
(Baldwin Park) – Arroyo lost just two two games all day and finished second Saturday at the Baldwin Park Tournament. Both losses were to Tournament Champion Summit- by five points in pool play and 4 points in the championship game.
East Takes West in Double OT
By Steven Mercado (Cerritos)- The 46th annual 605 All Star Football Classic held at Cerritos College Stadium required extra football Friday night to determine the winner. After two overtime periods, the East overcame the West and earned a 28-21 victory.

(Cerritos)- Tavi Jimmerson trucked in from six yards out in the second overtime to give the East a 28-21 win over the West in the 605 All-Star Game at Cerritos College Friday night.
Arroyo Alum Salerno Receives Honor
Former Arroyo Baseball Coach Nick Salerno was inducted into the San Gabriel Valley’s Hall of Honor this past Monday prior to the East-West High School All-Star Game at Mt.Sac’s Mazmanian Field.

SG’s Fernandez Going to St. Mary’s
San Gabriel’s Isai Fernandez, who played wide receiver, defensive back, and held on kicks for the Matadors, is going to St. Mary’s to continue his education and play football.
