Playoff Picture: Post Week Nine
The Following is a list of the teams that have either qualified for a berth in the 2012 CIF Southern Section playoffs, are one win from qualifying for a spot, still have a long shot at a berth, or are done once the regular season ends.
Mid-Valley Division Top 10
Everybody in the Top 10 won last week except for number five San Marino which fell to third ranked Monrovia. The last week of the regular season will settle all of the playoff scenarios. The CIF playoff pairings will be announced Sunday. Log on to Mid Valley Sports for all playoff information.
Bishop Diego Dodges Nordhoff Bullet, 14-7
(Santa Barbara) – Bishop Diego survived two fumbles on its last two possessions and the defense stopped Nordhoff on four consecutive downs from the 15 yard line in the last minute to beat the Rangers 14-7 Saturday night at La Playa Stadium at Santa Barbara City College.
Week 9 Roundups: Northwest Division
DEL REY La Salle 61, Cantwell-Sacred Heart 30 The Lancers (9-0, 4-0) continued their undefeated streak by knocking off the Cardinals (2-7, 2-3) Friday night at La Salle High’s Kohorst Field, clinching a share of the Del Rey League title.
Week 9 Roundups: Southeast Division
DEL RIO El Rancho 46, Pioneer 14 Six touchdowns by quarterback Joey Sanchez helped the Dons (4-5, 1-3) snap their three-game Del Rio League losing streak as they knocked off the Titans (2-7, 1-3) to pull into a tie for fourth place in the Del Rio, Friday night at Pioner High’s Titan Stadium.

ALPHA Viewpoint 52, Marshall 12 The regular season came to an end for the Eagle (3-7, 0-6) as they dropped their fourth consecutive game since their win over the City Section’s Angelou in a loss to the Patriots (4-5, 2-3) Friday night at Calabasas High.

Mustangs have the Horses, 38-0
(Arcadia) – Joshua Muema-washington threw four touchdown passes to four different receivers to lead Muir to a 38-0 rout of Arcadia Friday night at Salter Field. With the win the Mustangs improved to 6-0 in the Pacific League.
Aholoka Keeps Knights Alive
