Cougars Get Defensive, Still Fall Short
(Glendora) – Central Washington scored the only touchdown of the game with 1:44 left in the first quarter and it stood up in a 7-3 win over Azusa Pacific Saturday night at Citrus College. The Cougars managed just 73 yards on the ground and 176 overall while suffering their second defeat of the season.
USC, Haden, Meet With NCAA

Azusa Pacific Whistles Past Dixie 36-20
(St. George, UT) – Terrell Watson rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns and Nick Owens threw for 163 yards to lead Azusa Pacific to a 36-20 win over Dixie State Saturday night at Hansen Stadium.
Not so Grand Opening for APU
(Allendale, MI) – Terrell Watson ran for 174 yards and two touchdowns but it wsn’t enough as Azusa Pacific fell to Grand Valley State 38-17 Saturday night in the season opener. Watson became the the eighth APU rusher all time to surpass 200o rushing yards in a career.
APU Preps for Grand Valley State
(Azusa) – Azusa Pacific was out working on Labor Day getting ready for the season opener Saturday at Grand Valley State in Allendale, Michigan. The Cougars are coming off a season in which they went 4-7 overall.
Cantu’s Debut a Success
Former Schurr quarterback Aaron Cantu completed 13 of 24 passes for 183 yards and a touchdown in his debut for Southern Utah in a 22-21 win over South Alabama Thursday night.
