Monrovia bounced back after a crushing loss to San Dimas with a nice response at South Hills. San Gabriel put the hurt on Rosemead big time which is sure to send the Panthers down the rankings. The new look Temple City squad earned its horns in week four which by all accounts was a resounding victory in all phases, more importantly the offensive line stepped up big time. Arcadia followed up its TC romp with another solid performance from quarterback Myles Carr. What’s it all mean? Let’s find out.

.) Monrovia (2-2) – Wildcats quarterback Nick Bueno faltered early but rallied his team when it counted.

.) Arroyo (3-1) – Knights gain ground on M-Town during a bye week.

.) Arcadia (2-2) – Win over Pasadena was emphatic. We’ll find out if they’re good enough to take down a self-destructing Muir team.

.) Alhambra (3-2) – The Moors are rolling with head coach Lou Torres at the helm, perennial doormat Keppel will have Alhambra at 4-2 with Schurr at home in a couple weeks.

.) San Gabriel (2-3) – How good are the Matadors? Quarterback Andy Guerrero has come out of nowhere to bring his team out of an 0-3 hole and last I heard they were still forcing Rosemead to turn the ball over.

.) Rosemead (2-2) – Running back Matt Fregoso was the lone bright spot in the loss to SG. They travel to play Temple City next week in a contest looking more and more even matched.

.) Mountain View (2-2) – We know Josymar Ulloa is good, but how good is View?

.) Temple City (1-3) – It was looking bleak but now the Rams have an opportunity to build on some good things and iron out the bad against Rosemead and hit league play with momentum.

.) El Monte (1-3) – It might seem low and perhaps it is, but I can’t justify putting them higher until the Lions can consistently score in the redzone.

.) Gabrielino (3-2) – Win over Roybal doesn’t move my meter. Eagles continue to pound bad teams and not score against good ones.

.) South El Monte (1-3) – What looked like a game to get things back on track only turned into a nightmare for the Eagles and it’s only going to get worse with Bell Gardens visiting The Swamp.

.) Duarte (0-3) – It’s hard to believe the talent this school had only a short time ago but hey, the Falcons got the first six points of the season last week.
