Mt Sac 34      Bakersfield 20 (Oct 2, 2010 at Bakersfield, CA)

Mt. Sac improved their record to 5-0 on the road in Bakersfield. In the win, Bryce McBride (Los Altos) had 27 carries for 92-yards and a score and had a reception for 12-yards. Marcus Wagner (Bishop Amat) rushed the ball 11 times for 49-yards. Through the air Nick Lamaison (South Hills) connected on 22 passes for 398-yards and a touchdown. Michael Edwards (Glendora) caught eight of those passes for 109-yards. Richard Parham (South Hills) caught one for 58-yards and a score and Michael Harrell had one for 22-yards. Evan Highly punted three times for a total of 105-yards. Jeremy Brown (Los Altos) booted two field goals of 25 and 38-yards

On defense, Deshawn Gaisie (Bishop Amat) had six tackles, Ron Tenell and Tre Evans each had one and Geoffrey Vaughns had an interception that he returned 25-yards.

PCC 29        Ventura 33 (Oct 2, 2010 at Pasadena, CA)

Pasadena dropped their first game of the season at home on Saturday night. In the loss Reuben Thomas (Muir) had nine catches for 104-yards, two rushes for 10 and two kick returns for 21-yards. Danny Robinson (Pasadena) had five carries for 20-yards and caught four balls for 44-yards. Michael Harrison (Pasadena) caught 11 passes for 96-yards and a touchdown and had a kick return for 23-yards. Devance Harris (Charter Oak) caught to balls for 14-yards. Michael Varela punted 2 times for a total of 81-yards and Brian Gonzales (Alhambra) punted three times for 130-yards and made a field goal of 39yards.

Defensively Cordell Robinson (Muir) had nine tackles, Grant Haggard (Monrovia) had nine and Marcus Graves had two along with an interception he returned for 24-yards.

ELAC 17          Antelope Valley 31 (Oct 2, 2010 at Monterey Park, CA)

In the fourth loss for ELAC Darian Green-Simpson (Pasadena) had eight catches for 71-yards.

On defense, Mitchell Garner (Muir) had seven tackles and Chris Dunlap (Muir) had two.

Cerritos 24           Saddleback 28 (Oct 2, 2010 at Norwalk, CA)

Cerritos suffered their first blemish on the 2010 season. Angel Sanchez (Schurr) was the only local who recorded numbers punting the ball three times for 88-yards.

Citrus 44            San Bernardino Valley 57 (Oct 2, 2010 at San Bernardino, CA)

Citrus was on the losing end of a high scoring affair Saturday night. Brandon Stansell (Rowland) was magnificent gaining 260-yards on 29 carries with two touchdowns. Stansell also caught two passes for 12-yards and a score and had a kick return of 41-yards. Ricky Johnson (West Covina) had four carries for eight yards and a kick return of 11. B.J. Oyefeso (Rowland) had one catch for 11-yards and Rauley Zaragosa (Azusa) had one for five. Zaragosa also punted three times for 129-yards total.

Doing their best to stem the San Bernardino offense was Kevin Puckett (Pomona) with 10 tackles, Fernando Noriega (El Monte) with eight, Jesse Prieto (Bishop Amat) had seven, and Jesse Taviliili (West Covina) had five. Giovanni Mantilla (San Dimas) had five, Josayah O’Keefe-Lopez (Charter Oak) had three and Jabril Pearson (West Covina) had two.

Fullerton 28           Alan Hancock 35 (Oct 2, 2010 at Fullerton, CA)

Fullerton lost for the second time this season even with Adrian Lopez (Santa Fe) getting six tackles and a fumble return for a score. Jamal Brown (South Hills) had one tackle and Nick Finney (Santa Fe) recorded three.

Glendale 21          L.A. Valley 27 (Oct 2, 2010 at Glendale, CA)

Glendale ended where they started Saturday night looking for their first win. Reynaldo Reyes had one catch for 11-yards on offense.

On defense, Charles Hendricks (Pasadena) had 14tackles, Jacob Meza (Burroughs) had eight andDeron Jackson (Muir) had five. Thaddeus Brown (Pasadena) had three tackles and Durriae Williams (Duarte) had three.
