On The Couch: May 27, 2009

Good Morning all!

After a few days off, I am back and ready to fire bullets.

To say a Denver Nuggets versus Orlando Magic finals is what David Stern envisioned is a understatement.

It is one thing to hype a Cleveland against Los Angeles battle, but to have a advertisement with Kobe and Lebron as puppets is completely idiotic.

Stern will start hollering that they sky is falling if the Magic and Nuggets end up playing for the Championship.

Like I said last night, Orlando has a deeper bench and use Dwight Howard in the paint to open up the three-point play.

King James has a supporting cast with the Cavs and unfortunately fortunately for him they have decided to not show up in the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Coca-Cola 600 was finished on Memorial Day, instead of Sunday.  Other than the yellow flag finish that saw journeyman David Reutimann win due to rain, the race had a few good moments.

The best was the red-flag stop at 3 p.m. eastern time to honor the men that have fought for our country and also the ones that are fighting now.  The moment of silence was spine tingling.

After a weekend series that saw the Angels take two of three from the Dodgers, it appears that both teams are headed in the wrong direction.

The Angels have given up 21 runs in two games against Chicago while the Dodgers have put up 23 runs in two games against Colorado.

The Angels were happy to get Vladimir Guerrero back off the disabled list but are 3-7 with him in the lineup.

So much for needing that extra bat with pop for the Angels.

My final thought, when the Lakers lose tonight what excuse will they use at it seems that they will have the officials on their side.
