Good Morning!

T-minus-6 until Manny Ramirez returns to Dodgers lineup

Iran, North Korea, soldiers fighting in Iraq, Afghanistan, and in places we don’t know about…Bills on universal healthcare, cap & trade, and hate crimes…and society treats the death of Michael Jackson like a second Crucifixion…

Personally I was more upset yesterday when Matt Kemp didn’t come up with the catch in the bottom of the 13th…

The Lakers draft day was nearly non-existent… The dude out of Texas A&M will be gone before I learn how to spell his name…

I agree with Villathedevil….the NBA Draft is weak, but not all drafts, and especially not the NFL Draft….Reason: By the time a player hits the age of 21-22 and has spent four years of his life away from home, he’s most likely ready to take a shot at the NFL…When you’re 18 all of your bingo balls are still bouncing around inside your head and mommy is still doing your laundry…only a handful of those players taken in the draft on Thursday are ready for life in the NBA…

With Hedo Turkgolu opting out, and Courtney Lee, along with Rafer Alston, traded to New Jersey the Orlando Magic has lost three/fifths of a starting five that not only went to the finals, but was a couple of plays away from leading the series three games to one…

Sorry, not sold on Vince Carter… I think the ship has sailed on this guy.

My favorite line yesterday from a football fan at the Arroyo pass around with Wilson, Temple City, Arcadia, and Gladstone was this: “I don’t think Temple City is going to have much of a defense this year.” Literally as the last word was said Rams linebacker Tim Sanderson went parallel and picked off a pass…

Previous emailer was right; Gladstone could be in line for a solid year…and in the Montview a solid team puts you in contention for a league title…

Do I stay with my East pick in tonight’s Hall of Fame game and run the risk of alienating West coach Matt Koffler?

Yeah.

What is “Football Rush Week”?… Five consecutive nights of “The Mid Valley Sports Show” breaking down the coming football season from the Southeast to the Mid-Valley from the Miramonte to the Montview to the Mission Valley and all stops in between….

Stay thirsty my friends…
