High School Softball Top 25

Covina finds itself in the playoffs and top 25.

This week Schurr, and Village Christian can become league champs with a solid week.

  1. La Canada (20-3) – Catherine Horner leads team with .453 batting average.
  2. Crescenta Valley (19-3) – Erin Ashby came up big in Burroughs win to help Falcons with share of Pacific League lead.
  3. Bishop Amat (21-3) – Alexis Gonzalez and Cassie Padilla lead the Lancers with six homers.
  4. San Dimas (18-7) – Saints season sweep of Northview clinches Valle Vista League title.
  5. Bonita (20-4) – Right back in the Hacienda League title race after Anissa Sanchez’s huge pitching performance against West Covina.
  6. South Hills (16-6) – Must sweep Charter Oak for any shot at Sierra League title.
  7. Whittier Chirstian (17-7) – Crusaders loss to Village Christian hurts chances of Olympic League title.
  8. La Serna (17-7) – Lancers get one more shot at Cal to win Del Rio League.
  9. Village Christian (14-10) – Winning streak reaches seven after winning El Segundo Tournament.
  10. Burroughs (17-7) – Brice Edrington is just going to get better at the leadoff spot.
  11. Mayfair (13-7) – Monsoons sweep of Mayfair gives them share of Suburban League lead with one week left.
  12. West Covina (15-7) – Must become Brahma defeaters and supporters this week.
  13. Arroyo (14-6) – Lady Knights now on a roll in Mission Valley League.
  14. Diamond Bar (13-9) – Big week for Brahmas who controls its destiny in Hacienda League title race.
  15. Northview (16-9-1) – Vikings couldn’t solve San Dimas mastery.
  16. Duarte (17-3) – Drop Montview league game to Azusa.
  17. Valley Christian (12-10) – Crusaders have shot to get piece of Olympic League title.
  18. Schurr (15-9) – Defeat over Keppel gives Spartans one game lead in Almont.
  19. Cerritos (15-6) – Dons managed to jumble up Suburban league with sweep of Norwalk.
  20. Keppel (13-6) – Almont League title hopes slammed shut by Schurr.
  21. San Marino (13-7) – Finding it hard to get on any roll heading into the playoffs.
  22. La Mirada (14-11) – Snap three-game losing streak with win over Mira Costa.
  23. Los Altos (13-6) – Can play spoiler this week with game against Diamond Bar.
  24. Covina (13-10-1) – Taylor Provenzano helps lead the Colts to a playoff appearance.
  25. Azusa (13-7-1) – Made sure Duarte didn’t go undefeated in Montview
