1.) Alhambra at San Gabriel for 2011 Almont League title.

2.) Prior to 2011, Whittier Christian had lost seven consecutive meetings to Valley Christian this century.

3.) On this date in 1974 Rosemead’s Skip Buck picked off Mt. View quarterback Marty Shubin in the second quarter to set up Dave Burns’ 1-yard touchdown run. The Vikings entered the red zone five times and were only able to come away with a field goal in a 10-3 loss.

4.) USC redshirt freshman tailback Kamaron Germany (Northview)

5.) Mayfair defensive back Billy Thomas (Jr. 5-11, 185): 52 tackles, 3 interceptions, 2 interceptions returned for touchdowns.

6.) Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassell

7.) The La Puente High School Quarterback Ivan Vasquez: 15 touchdown passes…1 interception.

8.) Covina linebacker Johnny Padilla: 96 tackles, 7.5 sacks.

9.) Cleveland Indians pitcher Derek Lowe: 15 seasons, 634 games, 356 starts, 166-146 record, 9 complete games, & 3 shutouts.
