Lagace Commits to UCLA

Arcadia's Taylor Lagace

Taylor Lagace has de-committed from Washington and committed to UCLA.

With former Muir standout Demetrice Martin leaving the Washington coaching staff and coming to UCLA with new HC Jim Mora Jr., Lagace made the decision to stay home and play for the Bruins. Largely because of proximity and the presence of Coach Martin.

“I really wanted to play for Coach Meat [Demetrice Martin],” LaGace told ESPN. “He was a big reason why I committed to UW, but the truth is, I always liked UCLA.”

Lagace led the Apaches on offense and defense for the last three years and was a highly coveted recruit who had his choice of Boise State, Washington and UCLA to name schools that were mentioned in numerous reports.

Lagace’s final numbers were 179 receptions for 2,420 yards and 26 touchdowns as a receiver. He also finished with 72 tackles as a safety.
