Joe T.

Good Morning!

The Jazz needed to go to Thurl Bailey more in the second half last night.

There is something about the road trip…As long as it’s the proverbial dark desert highway and not the 405…Can I get an “Amen” on that one?

Regarding “Offensive Assistant of the Year” going to Arroyo’s Chris MacMillan…we listened to a long argument in favor of El Monte’s Brian Tabatabai but in the end we leaned MacMillan.

Don’t feel bad for Tabatabai because he had a pretty good Christmas and Brandon Martinez (27 touchdown passes) returns at quarterback for the Lions.

Who is going to be the Covina quarterback next year? San Dimas? That question is answered at Monrovia, Maranatha, and Arroyo.

So with all the injuries and misfortune, including the lockout, the Rams are really going to fire Steve Spagnuolo in favor of a Jon Gruden?

Wasn’t Gruden the guy who wasted nearly a decade in Tampa Bay collecting B-Level quarterbacks after winning a Super Bowl with Tony Dungy & Rich McKay’s team?

I didn’t like him at Auburn because he was the best college quarterback SEC money could buy, but he’s been amazing for Carolina…How does Cam Newton not end up in the Pro Bowl?

Forget that one, how does New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz not end up in the Pro Bowl?

Okay, forget that…I’ve got a better one; Does anyone really care about the Pro Bowl?

The NFL could at least thank Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees for all they do and give them a pass (no pun intended) from playing in this disaster.

Just in case I have a lapse…Remind me to miss “John Carter”.

Has anyone read “Vertical”?

The Belk Bowl was classic…It brought back memories of the 1982 Belk Bowl when Weber State crushed Cal State Fullerton.

Of course that game was no match for the 1987 Karo Corn Syrup Bowl…

Just grateful the NCAA has done all it has to preserve the rich tradition of the bowl system.

If Kyle Orton takes the Chiefs into Denver and knocks the Broncos out of the playoffs this weekend will it be the first significant win of his career?

Orton could beat the Broncos because that overwhelming defense the experts were talking about during the winning streak is now not so overwhelming. That happens when you face an offensive juggernaut like the Buffalo Bills and their Hall of Fame quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Things have only just begun at South Pasadena…Tigers will make the playoffs in 2012. So will Northview.

Wade, James, Bosh, but the Miami Heat needed Norris Cole to defeat a Boston team minus Paul Pierce…at home. Impressive.

The Dude abides…
