Welcome to Fenway

Welcome to Fenway

“The Across America Edition”

Good Morning!

T-minus-34 until “The Mid Valley Classic”

I say this; “D’angelos” …If you enjoy the sweet moments of life…you will go to this place…(Lobster Roll)…

Boston is a beautiful city. I liked it, a little compact for me, but it’s great. The only problem is if you make a wrong turn, which is easy to do, you have to drive to New Hampshire before you can correct it.

Had lobster at a place called Kingfish House. Nice waiter, good food, but you know, I’ll take the lobster at Northwoods Inn along with the mushroom stuffing…Plus, while I liked the claws, having the whole beast in front of me was uncomfortable…

Drove through Harvard, yes beautiful, but too much city around it…and mighty white…I was expecting diversity…

These folks are really big on donuts around here…Dunkin Donuts is like McDonalds around here…

Hit the Old State House and the site of the Boston Massacre…Didn’t find any bodies belonging to the Lakers from Game One in 1985 (look it up)…

Quincy Market and Fanueil Hall were amazing…There were so many Jim Rice pics and jerseys hanging around you have to wonder if there ever was a problem between the fans and Rice…

How come we don’t call anything a creamery in California?

Got to Fenway…Walked around Fenway…Shopped outside of Fenway…but because we made a wrong turn (I made a wrong turn as family was quick to point out) we didn’t get into Fenway. We were twenty minutes late for the last tour…

Hey, all wasn’t lost, Friday was tornado free…

The shop across the street from the park must be a full acre in size…Nothing, I mean nothing but Red Sox gear…

Seeing the size of Fenway Park and the way everything is condensed around it, I don’t know how the Yankees made it out of there alive after the one game playoff in ’78…

…If you park downtown be sure to validate…They put a knife to my throat for 34-bucks…but if you can find a place outside of Fenway…parking is free for two hours…that was enough to make me hate the Yankees a little more…

Stay thirsty my friends…
