(Mt Carmel HS Poway, CA) — Pasadena (7-5) mounted a pivotal third quarter run and stood tall down the stretch to beat host Mt. Carmel 54-40 Friday night in the Mt. Carmel Holiday Hoops Classic championship game.
This is the first tournament title for PHS since the 2007-‘08 season when the Bulldogs beat Eisenhower 66-57 for the Rose City Roundball Classic trophy.
The Dogs were led in double figures by Ajon Efferson (13), Blake Hamilton (12), John John Haywood (10), and Perris Hicks (10). Brandon Jolley chipped in eight 8 points.
